Understanding Intentional Living

Intentional living is a lifestyle of bringing more awareness into your daily life. It becomes the lenses by which you see the world. As your purpose becomes clearer, the quest to make conscious decisions that are aligned with your core values, hopes, and your dreams. You will shut off auto-pilot mode to do a deeper dive to make meaningful choices that serve your definition of happiness, peace, and fulfillment.

Describing the approach

Living a more intentional life is a holistic and wholehearted approach to "BE-ing" each day.  Being intentional helps you connect you with your body, mind, emotions, personal energy and your spirit. All of the above will make room for you to live a more present, healthier and happier life.

The value of meditation

Intentional living is focusing more on what's in your circle of control versus what is outside of it. Understanding what's in your control helps you to manage anxiety. You tend to worry less over things that are not in your direct line for control and spend more time in the present moment.

Understanding intention

Intentional living is the focus on WHO you are, WHAT you stand for, and HOW you choose to show up everyday. Equally as important, Being intentional how in tuned you are to your WHY. Your WHY is your purpose. It's the light that describes why you do, think, and act the way that you do. It's the foundation that informs your habits, agenda, and your choices.

Being intentional

Living a more intentional life begins with making the decision to prioritize your mental  and emotional wellness. Similarly, how you plan your work day, getting your hair done, taking your kids to practice, and watching the latest episode of our fav show...you must make a conscious decision to invest resources into your mental and emotional well-being. Choose to be brave, and empowered - on purpose. Investing in  self awareness, self-care, and self-love is the start of the journey to intentional living.

It's time for transformation. It's time to make a shift from self-improvement to self-compassion

What I am suggesting may sound like "self-improvement," however, I am not suggesting that you "change" yourself.  I am proposing that you give yourself the gift of self-awareness to clear about your authentic self. This is done by getting in touch with your WHY - your deeper values - and what it really means to be you. In order to do this, it may be necessary to do an inventory of your life. I mean a real honest look at both your strengths and the areas in need of attention. If you are like me, you may find that you are not aligned. You may be out of sync with WHO you are and HOW you are showing up in various spaces. I'd like to encourage you to stop telling yourself that you need to "improve." I'd like for you to give yourself permission to shift your perspective and embrace self-compassion in order to be the person who expresses their WHY in everything that you do.

NOTE: Your well-being is dependent on your life's vision. Your life's vision is the pathway and guiding light to intentional living. This journey will challenge your your beliefs, it may push you to have higher expectations, and deeper understanding but it will be worth it. During this journey you will also experience greater peace, love, and joy in your life.
